Fees
Cascara is a fee-only firm. The only compensation I receive comes directly from my clients: no commissions, and no payments for selling securities or other investment products.
Ongoing Financial Planning
A long-term planning relationship, with your plan monitored and updated as your life changes.
Initial plan fee: up to $1,500, which covers building your comprehensive plan. It may be reduced or waived.
Ongoing fee: a fixed annual fee, generally $5,000 to $15,000, depending on the complexity of your situation. It's paid monthly or quarterly, after services are provided.
Project-Based Financial
PlanningOne-time help with a specific question or decision, with no ongoing commitment.
Fixed project fee: generally $5,000 to $15,000, depending on scope. Or,
Hourly: $275 per hour.
A portion of the fee may be collected up front, with the rest due when the project is complete.
Other costs
Custodian charges, transaction fees and the internal expenses of mutual funds and ETFs are separate from Cascara's fee. Cascara receives no portion of them.
Wealth Management
Investment management combined with financial planning. For clients with $500,000 or more under management, financial planning is included at no additional fee.
Fees are tiered. For example, on $1,500,000 you'd pay 0.90% on the first $1,000,000 and 0.80% on the remaining $500,000, which comes to $13,000 a year, or $3,250 a quarter. Fees are billed monthly or quarterly, after services are provided, based on your accounts' average daily balance. Accounts in the same household may be combined when calculating your fee.
Fees are negotiable and may vary between clients for similar services. Your exact fee will be set out in your advisory agreement. Lower fees for comparable services may be available from other sources.
